I have triend this on two versions of ACT!
1. Act Pro V16, full running eval- 30 day.. 16.0.291.0 Hot Fix %
Windows 7, i5 with 8 gig memory.
2. Sage ACT! Pro 2011 Version 13.0.401.0, Hot Fix 2
Windows 7, i7 with 8 gig memory
I have 1600 contacts.
I have exported them from Outlook to .CSV on both computers.
I have created new ACT Databases and exported Outlook to CSV DOS and CSV Windows?
I have successfully imported the contacts into Both Computers/Act versions.
I have all of the fields correct....with the exception of a "correct Notes Import"
I notice that both versions of Act have imported the Notes field from Outlook but it is very limited.
Some contacts have 4 lines of notes. Some Contacts have 12 lines of notes.
I use these notes to search for information on contacts (so I need the notes to be imported).
Oh, I did view my .CSV exports from Outlook in Excel and Notepad to make sure the data is there...and it is....
Any idea why the notes are imported incompletely?

this is exactly one of the main reasons why we did develop Import-IT, you would need the standard Edition to import notes.

Thanks for your input. But your response...selling a product does not answer the question. Where is the limitation? Is this an error? Also, It directly contradicts posting BY CURRENT Swiftpage and past SAGE ACT! I also have an email from Swiftpage support 2 weeks ago that links me to instructions... on how to proceed.

I think the prob is with the ACT! Import/Export process.
You can spend much time wrestling with the issue, or just use the Import IT add-on or other add-ons.
Going from ACT!2011 to ACT! 2013 or 2014v16 seems to have challenges in that area.
Exporting your data into a tab delimited txt file may work for you? Then bring in the txt file into act v16.
