Can anyone throw light on the below please:
The ACT! OLE DB Provider option doesn't appear in Microsoft Excel (in the Provider tab of Data Link Properties).
I have reinstalled Act!, checked that the COM ADDIN is enabled in Excel and disabled A/V.
The Act! drop-down menu does appear under the Add-ins tab in Excel.
Microsoft Office 2016 (v 1708) (Build 8431.2250)
Act! Premium v 20.0.159
Microsoft Windows 10 O/S
Have you tried the rebuild in ActDiag?
Thanks Mike. I haven't, but the issue appeared to be local to the machine (other Users are able to access the ACT! OLE DB Provider within their Excel, and successfully establish a database connection across the network) so I'd assumed that rebuilding OLE DB in ACTDIAG would be fruitless.
Hope all is well with you.
Have you tried it with a plain UDL file?
Create an empty test.txt file, then rename it test.udl
Double-click on it and it should give you the DataLink page without Excel
The DataLink and OLEDB have nothing to do with the Excel Com Addin
You might also try:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\ACT\Act for Windows\ACTOLEDB2.dll"
