ACT! Hosting on the Web

My personal assistant is now working from home.  I wanting to put my database out on the web so that we can both work on it at the same time.  Is anyone using this service, and if so how is it going?

Thank you!

Re: ACT! Hosting on the Web

There are three mani possibilities:

1. Syncronisation - your PA has a remote copy of the database, works locally and syncs it back to you regularly

2. ACT for Web - this requires a server that you might not have

3. Oursourcing a web or sync solution. If you look for the user here "RealTimeACT" - http://community.act.com/sage/profile?user.id=1220
I think he offers this.

Re: ACT! Hosting on the Web

Greetings...  I saw your posting and was wondering how you made out or implemented.  I have the exact situation where we have ACT on a local internal server but want to sync w/ a web site hosted by godaddy.com and have our sales people utilize that site and then sync the data back to our internal server.  So far I have had no success in getting the webpages to open properly on the godaddy site and all I get from ACT support is that it should work but.....  Be curious to hear any thoughts/comments.
