ACT FIELD

Hi All,

 

I would like to ammend the default field names. I.E. Change the ID/Status column to my own personal prefernce which would be Internal Ownership.

 

Can anyone shed any light on how to do this?

 

Your help would be much appreciated.

You can change the actual field names in Tools | Define Fields. However, the ID/Status field is a little special as it appears by default in the Lookup dropdown list. If you change the field name, "ID/Status" will still appear in the Lookup dropdown.

 

Alternatively, you could leave the field name alone and just change the field label in Tools | Design Layouts | Contact.

Many Thanks Jeff - I can now see my column name has changed when I view contacts in contact list.

 

However when I view individual contacts - the name of the column is the orignial name, not the new name - How can I have it so it shown the new name?

Changing a field definition, does not change the label on the layout. Go to Tools, Define Layout, Contact. You can modify the labels there. Susan Clark
