Does ACT use local database only? Can we configure it to use Central Database server?
Thanks in advance,

ACT! can use either local or non-local databases. The .PAD file contains the machine and database attributes to which ACT! connects physically.
There are some KB Articles on the support site at www.act.com/support/index.cfm on how to share a database. Basically, an instance of SQL Server 2005 which is installed when ACT! is installed, must host the database. SQL Server is a service based RDBMS which allows ACT! to leverage and scale in a client/server model.
