I am being denied access to my database of ACT 9.0. I am single user, had access on 5/12, but denied on 5/13. Message I receive is as follows:
"The database caseyaiken could not be accessed. IN order to access this database check your network connection and verify that your database server is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or server."
Any thoughts? I have checked server connection and can't figure it out.

Is this a local database? Are you able to open the demo database or create a new database? Check to see if the SQL service is started.
- Close ACT!
- Go to Start and select Run.
- Type in services.msc and click Ok.
- Find SQL Server (ACT7) and start the service.
