I have taken over the support of Win 2003 SBS with a network of a number of XP machines.
These XP machines run ACT! 8.0 on them and now the users require a number of new machines adding to the network.
I am new to ACT! and therefore please could you guys give me directions on how to install ACT! on the new machines in this network?

First - do you mean ACT! 2006 (8.0) - Standard or Premium?
How many users as Standard is limited to 10
Do you have the appropriate number of license - you need one per user.
Here are some instructions to share an ACT! database on a LAN:

Thanks for your reply.
Standard or Premium. I would need to check this out. Currently they have 5 users. What is the difference between the two?
If the server holds the ACT! database is it just a case of installing the ACT! application on the client and getting it to point to the server share or can you run all off the server?

If it's standard, I still have some ACT! 2006 licenses if you need.
Yes, just a matter of installing on the clients and opening the database

Thanks for all the help Mike.
On a separate note these XP clients also run Sage 50 Accounts 2008 on them. As I am new to this product as well do you have any technical skills in this?
