ACT!208 and outlook 2003

I set up act 2008 to use outlook for email. It now makes my out look use over 100 meg of memory even whne I am not using act. I now want to review back to the act email for mail merges etc but cannot remove the act buttons and whatever it did to slow my outlook down.

Can anyone help with this?

Thanks

LT.

open outlook

goto tools | email accounts | select view or change additional directories | remove act address book

check if that works

It did not work for me...any ideas? I just want to get rid of what ever we did and go back to just using Outlook by its self without Act jumping in and slowing Outlook to a crawl.
