ACT 2013 not recording activity

ACT 2013 not recording activity

I have ACT 2013 Premium and Outlook 2010 running on a windows vista 32 bit system.

 

up until yesturday when I would send a contact an email from act using outlook, it would record the date under latest activities. Now it doesn't do this, I checked the admin section of preferences and the 2 boxes in attachments are both checked. Any ideas what is wrong?

Is the email added to the contact's History tab?

No it is not, I also noticed when I add or change an email address it is not getting updated in outlook even if I run the synchronize.
