ACT!2013 Prem or Pro - what is the max number of contact records I can export to Txt , Delimited file? without missing any records?

Is the limit 1400 ? as far as how many records I can export?

I thought I was exporting 56000 contact records to txt , delimited file, but then I imported that file into a empty act2013 database copy and only pulled in around 1400 some records. ?? What happened? Thanks for any help in advance. - FSB

Do I need to turn off dup checking in my preferences?

Will TAB Delimited work better?

Tab delimited would be the preferred choice. You don't need to turn off duplicate checking but you need to be careful which fields you use for the dup check.

Thanks for the quick response Roy.

Is there any limit to the number of records I can export/import using Tab delimited txt?

I see why Tab is better now.  I am trying to insure I get all contact records, so will it be ok(better) to turn of dup checking? FSB

No field can have a tab character but a field could have a comma. I know of no limit unless you are going through Excel. You likely want to turn off dup checking.

OK then, we have 56,000 contact records to export. I will come back to this post with results.

This is part of my effort to over come the problem: Not able to create duplicate contact records = blank record.

The only contact records with the problem are the records that got imported from another ACT! db into my Fill Staff DB on their pc.

Any newly created records do not have that problem.

Thanks again. FSB
