I can open the Demo database but not my working one. I get taken to the welcome screen but when I try to open my Contacts database nothing happens. It was working for several months until Wednesday.

Check your windows updates, check to make sure you have most recent version of sql server for ACT!2013, if still no worky, run actdiag rebuild optioins and maybe try to detach desired act2013 database. Then try to open your desired ACT!2013 db.. Make sure latest spk1 hf for act2013 has been installed.
