ACT 2012 with Microsoft Office 2003 - EMAIL

Hello!

We are using Outlook 2003 with act 2012, and we are having challenges with email.

Does act have notable issues with Outlook 2003 and email, or is it just this version of Outlook (2003)?

The problems we experience are as follows:

When are email settings in Outlook are set to use "Word," there is about a 45-50 second time delay before a new email will appear or a reply box will appear. The format is right, with signatures and Outlook is linked with act 2012 - it records history and everything. But, when we untoggle the Outlook settings to not use Word, the emails (new or replies) pop up immediately, there is no advanced text (no images appear), and there is an error message b/c Outlook is not syncing with act. So what we have discovered is that Outlook only will generate our custom signature by using "Word" (in advanced email settings), but takes almost a minute to sync with act. Without using word in Outlook advanced email settings, we do not get our signature, and we are not connected to act. So, it seems act requires the advanced email outlook settings  to use "Word" but there is a hang-up and it takes about a minute for the email box appears. Are  there any known issues with this glitch while using mso 2003, and is there a way to fix it? Is this glitch only known in MSO 2003, or is it also known in MSO 2010. Please let me know!

Thank You!

Hello adminLTC,
Is your custom signature in an ACT! template or added as a signature in Outlook?

added as an Outlook signature.

When you do that (in 2003) and to add an image, one needs to use the "advanced" setting which then uses word.
