ACT 2012 and Outlook 2010

I just loaded ACT 2012 PRO and I cannot get it to use Outlook 2010 as my email choice.  When trying to set up email, Outlook does not even appear as an option.

Re: ACT 2012 and Outlook 2010

Are you running Outlook as 32-bit or 64bit?
It must be installed as 32bit (even if on a 64bit operating system)

I'm not sure how I even look to find that out.

Thanks - it shows I'm running a 32-bit version.  Now what?

Re: ACT 2012 and Outlook 2010

Unfortunately, nothing in there refers to the 2012 version of ACT.  And I've done most of what is suggested - re-setup my profile, reinstalled 2010 Outlook, etc.

Re: ACT 2012 and Outlook 2010

Hello Sharon,
This may be due to a damaged preferences file. Follow the instructions in the bottom section of this KB article to manually rebuild your preferences:
http://kb.Sagesoftwareonline.com/cgi-bin/Sagesoftwareonline.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=1477...

Also make sure you have properly setup your profile in Outlook (i.e., successfully sending and receiving emails)

If using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you can also try disabling User Account Control. Instructions:

Vista

Window 7

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.

Re: ACT 2012 and Outlook 2010

If you bought the 2012 or upgrade you should have 30 days of support with it. Call the support people and let them fix it. That's what you paid for.
