Just updated to windows 8.1 pro and the phone dialog prompt started coming up again. I had this issue arise the first time when I upgrated from windows 7 pro to windows 8 pro. The fix that Simon posted for windows 8 did not work for 8.1 because the registry key was different, but when I imported Nomphra's Country import.zip file, POOF! no more dialog prompt!
THANK YOU Nomphra!

This post has helped me out regarding this.
I am still running ACT 2010. I just installed it on a Microsoft Server 2012 R2 Essentials 64 bit.
I got this phone dialog prompt every time I started Act.
The country list is in the registry as described. The problem was that it was in the registry for 64 bit applications.
ACT 2010 is 32 bit so I checked the Wow6432Node for the Country List. No List there.
So I had to edit the registry addin and insert \Wow6432Node into all [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE lines
No Phone dialog prompt after that
Hope this helps somebody.

First a huge thanks to the brillant people who have come up with the fixes.
What I could not find was an up-to-date fix on the ACT knowledge base so this is just a nuge - a big nudge - for Swiftpage to update and publish the fix. (If I have missed it sorry but the search only found an out of date item.)
Over to you Swiftpage

I have Act 2012 Pro and recently upgraded to Windows 10... I have two issues:
a) Can anyone provide a fix to the WINDOWS PHONE INFORMATION DIALOG box that keeps appeariing everytime I start ACT? I know a fix was provided by someone for Windows 8... but I am afriad to use these steps for Windows 10 as it might screw up my program..
b) The second issue I have is that my AVG antivirus does not get me to start up my ACT, unless I disable AVG before opening ACT.
I am sure there have been disccusions on this - I just can happen to find the threads of this discussion and solutions provided.. could someone out there please help?

I have installed Windows 10.
The thing with WINDOWS PHONE INFORMATION DIALOG is that it looks for registry
But it seems the registry in Windows 10 is:
So I added the former one and everything works fine.
Regarding AVG, is it possible it is trying to run it in sandbox mode.

Thanks for the tip.
How do I add this registry key and how do I find the folder...
Pardon my ignorance, but I am sure you are definitely more savvy than me! Thanks for your help!

I posted a link to one in this very thread, back in November of 2013.
The link still works, and you can get the file here.

Thanks everyone for your input.
I managed to resolve my problem (Act Pro 2012 v/s Windows 10) and the annoying Phone Info dialog box .... this box does not show up at start up anymore.
Just follow the steps (which are a bit of a pain, but worth the effort at the end of it all!).
Does not ACT IT team inform Windows/Microsoft about their programs, so that the MS IT team could think of all these situations before creating any new updates? The best solution I think would be that ACT creates an update which we can download automatically when we launch the program, and it would take care of all these issues.
Thanks anyway, to the ACT community, for all your help!
