ACT 2012 - Office 2010 - Attaching Emails

Hello

I am having issues getting emails to attach to records in ACT 2012. As mention in the subject line I have latest version of ACT ( 2012), new version of Office 2010 installed as 32 bit. It is all running on a brand new Lenovo / Window 7 / 64 bit system. Norton 360 (version 5) is also on the machine.

Currently my Calendar and Contacts have synced (1,400 contacts) with Outlook and I can send emails with Outlook but nothing is being recorded to the history of ACT

The ONLY option within "Ads Ins" is an Icon ( sync contacts with ACT ) and (sync calendar with ACT) . There is no options to:

Attach to ACT Contacts

Create ACT Contact

Create ACT Activity

ACT History

I have went over my configerations several times and even resorted to purchasing the $69 ANYTIME Learing videos. Still NO Luck!

Thank you,

David

Re: ACT 2012 - Office 2010 - Attaching Emails - FIXED PROBLEM

I have fixed the issues after reading the following link:

http://kb.sagesoftwareonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26832/~/how-to-configure-microsoft%E2%AE-ou...

According to the information you MUST install ACT2012 AFTER installing Microsoft 2010. If you don't it won't install the sync options properly.

After un-stalling ACT2012 and re-installing, it works as it should.

Thanks

David
