ACT 2011 Professional Backup Error

In attempting to backup my ACT Database, I received the following error:

Path to datastore is invalid. The backup did not complete.

This was not having any problems until a tech 'helped' me on our server computer where another team member couldn't get into the server...Now I get this error message...

So, in looking at older posts, I changed the folder that houses this database to Everyone full control and there is still the error message when backing up. Any further suggestions?

Thanks,

Apparently whatever your tech guy did changed your permissions to the needed folders on the server.

Re: ACT 2011 Professional Backup Error

Are you running the backup on the server or on your own PC?

What happens if you attempt to do it on the server?

The same thing happens whether I do the backup from my pc or the server pc.

Re: ACT 2011 Professional Backup Error

Thanks for the reply. The link is helpful for future reference. Yesterday, I worked with the tech to change the share setting and get it fixed.
