I have re-installed ACT 2011 Premium on my Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit laptop.
I had some problems getting sql Server to work, but Greg Martin kindly provided information on how to resolve this issue which was done successfully.
However, I now have a problem restoring my ACT database. I performed a successful backup on my Win XP Pro (32-bit) and copied the ZIP file to my Win 7 (64 bit) hard disk. Using the ACT "Restore as" procedure started off OK but then there up a huge list of errors:
It mentions failure to retrieve a file (some BAK file) and an "Operating system error, with a reason number of 15100".
The ACT Demo database works fine on this new installation, and the ACT version is the same on both laptops (Sage ACT! Premium 2011 Version 13.0.401.0, Hot Fix 2).
Really stuck on this, as my database isn't of much use if I can't open it!
