ACT! 2011 Customer Record entry

I am new to ACT and I wanted to ask if there is a quicker method of entering customer records if you have e.g. 10 contacts who all work for the same company and thus have identical addresses.

Is there a method of creating a record and then saving it, however keeping the data entered as a template for the next contact so that all I would be required to do is change the name and email address?

Thanks in advance.

Re: ACT! 2011 Customer Record entry

Hello David,

I would suggest you at least two ways:

  1. Create your first contact and copy it.
  2. Create a company
  3. Create a contact and link it to that company
  4. Create new contacts from within that company (linked fields from company will fill in contact records.

I hope this helps.
