I have two single user licenses for ACT 2010. I just switched from Windows XP Pro to WIndows 7 Pro. I reinstalled one licensed copy on each of two PC's. I use one of the PC's to host the database. When I go to Database Maintenance to share the database, the selection is grayed out and unavailable. If I create a new databse, the check box for "Share" is also grayed out. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a solution? I've even tried reinstalling the software. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have the User Account Control enabled in windows 7? Make sure the windows user has full administration rights, either disable UAC or open act as admin. Right click on the act shortcut and select "run as administrator".
See if that helps.
Also, make sure the act user is an administrator.
