We are early in the process of switching from GoldMine to ACT 2010. Before we get too far, I wanted to get some feedback on ACT's capacity.
I have read on this forum that having many activities can cause performance problems. How many is too much?
We are a mfr rep company, so almost every history entry would be assigned to a group (our principal). Can groups handles 10's of 1000's history items?
We typically generate 25-200 opp's each month, with each having numerous history / activity entries. Is this doable as well?
Only having 4 users, we are currently on the Standard version. Do we need to upgrade to Premium because of volume?
P.S. Our database currently has 20K+ contacts, which should grow to 100K within a few years.
Thanks for any real-world input you might share.

If you are concerned about capacity, and based upon the counts you mention, you want to get Act! Premium and run it on SQL Standard edition, not the SQL Express edition, as that will allow the database to scale much more w/o the limits imposed by the Express version...
