ACT! 2010 - Registration/activation has expired after a week

Hi,

A colleague of mine had a trial version of ACT! 2010 (SP1) installed on his machine, which was working fine.  We then bought an activation code for it well within the trial period and activated it, no problems, got the confirmation email and everything.

However, six days later ACT! is now saying it's an unlicensed trial version with three days left.  We have tried re-entering the activation code, but it just says the code has already been used.

Anyone know what might be causing this, or how to fix it?

I ended up contacting Sage Support and was advised to navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Act\Act for Windows 12 and delete an XML Document called 'RegistrationData'.  After this I could reactivate Sage using the serial number and now it works Smiley Very Happy

If this is a Vista or Windows7 machine, try running Act! 'as administrator'.  To do this: close Act! > right click on Act! icon > select 'Run As Administrator'.

If that does not resolve the issue, review this article for steps to remove the current registration files to allow you to re-register: KB Article 14245

Hi fader5,

You need to reinstall Protexis.
