ACT! 2010 Opportunity issues.

Hi,

 

I have just upgraded from ACT! 2008 to ACT! 2010. We are having problems with the attachements in the opportunities.

 

Previoulsy we would attach a folder shortcut, which would open up the folder that contained the relevant files for a particular project. This way we could have multiple folders per contact keeping the document control neat and tidy within ACT!

 

Since the upgrade non of the previously attached folder links work. Also the new ones we attach don't work either. We just get a message saying this:-

 

"There was an error opening the attachement. IT may have been Deleted by another user, createed on a database that does not synchronise attachements, or you may not have access to the file path"

 

The documents still exists within the same folder and drive on the server. My id has full user access/control rights.

 

Is it due to the way the opportunites now hold the relevant documents and not just the contact?

 

Can anyone shed some light on this matter.

We are unable to find any further informqation or resolution on this serious issue. We are currently trying to finish-up an installation for a Client and would *really* appreciate being able to have guidance or a resolution.

 

How do we find the resolution?

Currently, this issue is still under investigation. We do not yet have any information as to when a solution or update will be available.
