ACT!2010 with hotfix 1
We have one Master database, one Remote user (pretty simple).
The problem is that if the Remote user enters an Opportunity then it does not show up on the Opportunities list screen on the Master.
However, if I look at the Contact record the Opportunity is there for the contact and if I click on this Opportunity then click 'list', the Opportunities list shows all of them, including the Remote Opportunities.
But, if I select a filter (such as Status - Open) then all the Remote Opportunities disappear - although the Opportunity is still open.
And the Remote Opportunities that have disappeared do not reappear, even if I reselect all filters to 'All' (i.e. All Dates, Status-All, Process-All, Stage-all, Prob-All, Total-All and All Users).
This appears to be a bug.. any comments/suggestions appreciated.

There were fixes to the Opportunity list view in Service Pack 1 and in later Hotfixes.
I'd make sure you have SP1 (in Help About would show as 12.1) as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article -
Then apply Hotfix 5:
This needs to be on BOTH systems as all sytems sharing a database need to be at same build
