ACT 2009: Contact information fields not changing when changing view to another contact

We are having problems with all the fields in ACT not populating when the contact is changed.  IE if we look up a contact, the date of birth and other data remains that of the previous contact viewed.  Is this a known problem with ACT2009 ?
