I am currently having problems with my laptop, have removed hard drive that houses my ACT databases and have connected the hard drive by USB2 to my PC. I also have the same version of ACT 2008 running on the PC.
When I attempt to access the databases I get the followingmessage - "The database BCCSFundingSources could not be accessed. In order to access your database, check your network connection and verify that your database server is available. It may be necessary to disable any firewall software on your computer or on the server."
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

It's probably because the machine name is different. See this ACT! Knowledge Base article -
If not, see this ACT! Knowledge Base article -
