When I open a contact Outlook opens an email.
All my contacts have email addresses entered but it doesnt happen for every contact. Also it did seem to have stopped but in the last few days its started a lot again - and nothing has been changed!
The email opens when the contact is opened - I havent clicked on the email address field.
I'm using ACT! 2008 and Outlook 2007 but the same happened with Outlook 2003. its now starting to annoy me.

It's hard to say without being there, but your problem is uniquie in that i've never seen it before. So, it calls for a bit of troubleshooting.
There is an ACT demo database that loads with ACT. Please open this and let us know if the problem happens with the ACT demo database.
Have you customized your ACT database in any way? Are there any addins that you have added to ACT? If you have customized your layout, change to the dafault ACT layouts and does the problem repeat itself?
Is there any pattern to what is going on?
