ACT 2008 Sync Issue with RDB

Hello all,

    I have an end user who has a Windows XP SP3 box with Symantec Endpoint loaded.  He has ACT 2008 installed, and a remote database is housed on his c:\ACT directory.  We have this same configuration on several different workstations and laptops.  The problem is, his will NOT sync. When you attempt a sync, it gets to the initializing handshake part, runs for a good 30-45 minutes, and finally times out.  This is what is in the sync log:

That's where it ends.  I have googled to my wit's end.  Any ideas?

If you have not already done so, then I would advise updating to the 10.0.3 version of 2008.  You will need to update the sync services as well as the program. Here are links to Knowledgebase articles regarding the update:

Does this mean that i will need to update all of my end users to 10.0.3 as well before they are able to sync again?  Or after updating the master database, will they still be able to sync?

All end users will need to update before syncing.
