ACT 2007!

Ooops, one of our users deleted about 100 contacts from their remote database by mistake, good news is they have not synchronize  the change with the main database.  Is there a way to have them synchronize and have the main database add back in those contacts which they delete.

Thanks

Re: ACT 2007!

You will need to update the 100 contacts on the main database.  When the user syncs, the update will override the delete.

Backup the main database before you sync.

Thanks for the feedback.  What exactly qualifies as an update.  Do I need to actually add something to each contact or make a mojor change?  Thanks

Re: ACT 2007!

Any change to each of the deleted contacts.  Either a new note/history/activity or updating a field.  So, if you know which contacts are missing, you can lookup the contacts on the main database.  Then do Edit > Replace Field with any data on an unused field. This will be the update on the contacts.  When the remote syncs, it will transfer the contacts back to the remote.

Ensure that you backup the database before you do the replace.
