ACT 2007 Download

I have a user with ACT 2007 and she just got a new computer.

But the new computer is a WIN 7 64 bit and my installer is not compatable.

Can I download a 64 bit version or is there a way to run my current installer?

Re: ACT 2007 Download

I don't believe the version of MSSQL that is used with ACT! 2007 is supported be Windows 7. Unless they upgrade to ACT! 2013 they would likely have to run an XP virtual machine on Windows 7 to continue to use ACT! 2007.

It is set to run in XP compatable mode.

But it is not compatable with 64 bit.

Re: ACT 2007 Download

Hello Janderson,
In addition, ACT! 2007 will not install on a 64-bit machine. Compatibility with 64-bit operating systems was not added until ACT! 2009. Support for Windows 7 was not certified until ACT! 2010.

What if it was a virtual XP machine?

Re: ACT 2007 Download

If you load a 32-bit version of XP, yes. But why? The version of the .NET Frameword and the MSSQL use by ACT! 2007 had many problems. The later version are much more stable.

Re: ACT 2007 Download

Because we are upgrading our entire business system and until that is complete my company will not purchase a newer version of ACT.

They will want to wait until this upgrade is completed first.
