After reinstalling ACT!2005 on my computer my database won't open. There is message "couldn't access the specified database". I don't have a back up!
Is there anything I can do?

Try opening the .adf file (under file, open in ACT). Also, see if you can open any act databases. There is a good chance your data is fine if all you did is reinstall aCT. Most likely your ACT install is damaged.
Do consider an upgrade. ACT 2005 is not supported and doesn't work on any newer systems. It has also been greatly improved upon in newer versions.
Look through your windows file structure and you shoud see a DATABASE.adf and an ALF and a Database FILE folder. These make up a complete database and if these are there your dataabase is most likely there.
