ACT 11.0 vs. Norton Antivirus

I have just purchased 11.0 and after an hour on line with ACT it seems unless Norton antivirus is turned off ACT will not work.  Norton basically said there will be a "conflict" if Norton is on while trying to use ACT.  Any similar issues out there and if so any fix for the issue?

Re: ACT 11.0 vs. Norton Antivirus

There are known issues with NAV and ACT! 6.0 or earlier... shouldn't be with ACT! 11.

You should normally exclude the ACT! database from NAV as per this ACT! Knowledge Base article - http://tinyurl.com/58n22l

What problem do you have when NAV is on?

Hi everyone! Have you guys tried Kaspersky anti-virus yet? I truly recommend it. I use it on my home PC and I am fully satisfied of it. I have no problems with intrusions and my Pc works very well, it hadn't been slowened down. It's the best antivirus ever. Try it right here: http://www.trustdownload.com/Antivirus-and-Spyware-Cleaners/Antivirus/Kaspersky-Internet-Security-7....

Absolutely get rid of Norton or McAfee and switch to Kaspersky.  Smallest footprint and doesn't grind your system to a halt.

Norton is good looking at the protection part. But it utilises the system resources very much degrading the performance. I  cant afford my system to be slow.
