I've been using ACT for years, and V10 for a couple years. All of a sudden - with no changes on the computer - it will not open existing databases or create new ones. When I try and create new one it says Cannot connect to Microsoft SQL database. When I try and load existing ones it says The Database cannot be accessed.
I've uninstalled Microsoft Server 5 and reinstalled, updated it, updated Act 10, ran all Act hotfixes, and still nothing!

See the following KB article on uninstalling and reinstalling SQL.
If this process was not done or not done correctly it will not resolve the problem.
