Once every week or two, my customer's database share (Tools/Database Maintenance/Share Database) option gets turned off! Fixing the problem is relatively straightforward - I've just got to remote in, run ACT as an administrator and turn the option back on, but it is quite annoying! Does anyone have an idea as to what is causing this to occur? The main database is on a Vista machine, if that helps.

I have seen this with Vista Home on two ocassions and seems to be related to file sharing in windows and not specific to ACT. You could check in Manage shares and see it the database share is listed more than once and remove all but one of the shares.
In previous versions of Windows turning off simple file sharing seemed to solve the problem but not sure if this an action in vista
