500 email contact limit?

Can someone explain how the "unlimited sends to 500 contacts per month".  Does ACT keep track of what 500 people you have send email to in the last month?  What if you have 2000 people in your contact data base, there is no way to contact them?  How exactly does this limitation work?  Thanks.

Franz,

The 500 Contacts limit is for the FREE Act! e-Marketing. To have more Contacts see...

So what ever the limit is depending on what you pay for, can you change what 500 or 2500 people are in your database that you want to send email to?  What is ACT! enforcing with this limit.  Thanks.

[ Edited ]

It's the number of Contacts per month and can be a different list of Contacts each month as explained in the link I sent you.

It's tracked monthly against your account.

Re: 500 email contact limit?

To expand a little on what David's already explained.

Every email address you send to counts as 1, so you're able to send to 500 different email addresses on a FREE account.

However, you could send multiple different emails to those same 500 email addresses, so you could send 1 email every week. The limit resets after 1 month, when you can then send to a DIFFERENT 500 email addresses, again, you're able to send as many actual emails you like to those email addresses .

If you want to be able to send to more than 500 email addresses in a month, then you'll need to consider upgrading the package, where you can then buy as many monthly contacts as you need.

Hope this helps, but if it's unclear, the link David provided above can probably do a better job of explaining it than I can Smiley Happy
