I have a date field that in the new year has stopped working.
Input 1/5 returns 1/15/18
I have to now input the date as 1/05 to get 1/5/18
I didn't have input the extra zero in 2017.
I'm guessing there's some "switch" in ACT I have to throw but can't find it.
How do I fix this?

Act! dates are determined by your System date/time and this possibly needs checking for the format etc..

Have you carried out a Check and Repair and/or Act! Diagnostics?

1. Tools | Database Maintenance | Check and Repair - Tick both boxes.
2. Run actdiag but read this KB first and heed the warning!

If I may suggest - backup your database first. ACT!/ File /Backup / Backup database etc...
