Hello panky1234, Welcome to the ACT! Online Community. ACT! and SQL do not work well with compressed files. This message would indicate that one of the files that ACT! is installing to s compressed in Windows. Check to see if any of the following directories (or the directories in the path to them) are compressed:
C:\Program Files Windows XP - C:\Documents & Settings\[username]\Application Data Windows Vista - C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming Windows Vista - C:\ProgramData My Documents
You can usually identify a compressed folder or file as the name will be in blue lettering. To un-compress, right-click on the folder, choose Properties, click the Advanced button, uncheck the box for "Compress contents to save disk space", the click OK, then OK again. Depending on the size of the folder, decompression may take some time.
