2 databases

I have a database that has about 6376 contacts.  There are contacts that we no longer associate with.  I would like to create another database with just those contacts and then yearly move the contacts we no longer associate with in that year over to the other.  I know I can copy the database and then delete the ones I want to keep in my first database and in the second database (the one's we do not associate with) delete all of the ones that are only not associated.

Is there a way to just move some contacts over to the non-associated database on a yearly basis?  Can I select only certain ones to move - I realize syncing would not be the resolution since it would sync all of them over.

I would appreciate your help!

Re: 2 databases

The export wizard will allow you to export "the current lookup."  So you would create the lookup first of the records you want to copy to your "archive" database.  Once you have exported, you should then delete "the current lookup" from your working/production database.

Hope this helps.
