The computer died.
Bought a new one but I lost the address book (contacts) database. Had to enter it all oover again by hand. It took forever. Don't want this to happen again.
Can I copy the contacts database to a disk?? How can I do this?? If I can do it, will I then (if necessary) be able to upload it someday, into my act 2000 if needed?
I am using Symantec Act 2000.
Windows XP SP3 Thx for any advice

You can backup your database on a regular basis and then copy that zip file to a cd or another location. Should you lose your computer again, you would then be able to restore your backup.
Take a look at the following kb article for detailed steps.

An important thing to note: if you want to try to backup to a CD, you need to do the backup to your local drive, then copy the file to the CD.
Another useful option is to automate the backups with something list AutoAdmin - http://www.glcomputing.com.au/main/16/2
