damaged database

My computer crashed when I attempted a Vista SP1 update.  The repair shop had to reload Vista, etc   My ACT database was recovered using 3rd party software, but now when I try to open it, I get the following message:

"This database was created using a later version of ACT!   The database cannot be opened using this version"

Can anyone please help me come up with a solution?  This database contained all my customer files !!!

Re: damaged database

Did they recover all 26 database files or just the DBF file?

Re: damaged database

Not all 26, but they did recover some of the others.

Re: damaged database

If those are all the files they recovered then you've lost your database unless you have a backup. There are some very critical files missing, mainly the files related to notes and history.
