Act - 6.0.3979
I have used act for 8 years. this week if i go back in my callander to see who i might have met with if i left click on a cleared meeting it is removed from the callendar. How can i stop this from happening? Thanks also my email is email@example.com

Have you checked the Calendar filter (icon on the tool bar) to ensure "Show Cleared Activities" is on?
Same in Daily, Weekly, Monthly Calendar?
Does it come back if you refresh the calendar or close and reopen ACT!?
Does the same thing happen in the demo database?
In Edit | Preferences | Scheduling - do you have it set to Gray or Strikeout?
What operating system?
Have you done a Compress/Reindex (File | Administration | Maintenance)?
Have you changed or updated your video driver?
