act 6.0 to act 2010 error

when act goes to upgrade the database, it gets the following error. "The oppertunity_Field_1 does not support a value greater then 64."

I cannot seem to find where to edit the oppertunity field in act 6.0
Anyone know where i can fix this?

Thanks

I believe it is the type field from the ACT! 6 opportunity that gets converted to the opportunity field 1

Re: act 6.0 to act 2010 error

ok. earlier today i was browsing the define fields menu but didnt see anything to do with oppertunity or a type field.

Where would i go to modify it?

Thanks again.

Re: act 6.0 to act 2010 error

I ran the scan and repair from the act 6.0 and it finds no problem. the only problem is when act 2010 converts the database and gives the error:

The opportunity_Field_1 does not support a value greater then 64.

Re: act 6.0 to act 2010 error

The scan and repair would not check for any problems in that area. The error you are getting indicates that the product entry on at least on of your opportunities exceeds 64 bytes.

Acustom report might be possible. I haven't had to work with the ACT! 6 report for several years so I can't say for sure without doing research.
