My organization is very small. Only 4 employees. We have been using Act2000 for last 10 years and see no need to upgrade. We are using it only to track our contacts, keeping up with the calendar, etc.
I have noticed that I could not install Act2000 on Windows 7 workstation and I am sure I will not be able to install it on either Windows 2008 server 64 bit.
Is it possible to upgrade to a compatible ACT version and more importantly I want to be able to import the data from ACT 2000. Any ideas???

ACT! 2000 will not run on x64 at all and only sometimes on Windows 7 x32.
You should upgrade to ACT! 2010.

If we upgrade to ACT 2010, can we import all our data including the notes from ACT 2000? I saw many reports on issues in importing notes from prior version and want to make sure that this can be done.
Also to import from Act 2000 to Act 2010, do we need a third part utility or is there a import wizard built into Act 2010?

See the link I posted... all the data converts without any additional tools (unless it's corrupt or damaged already).
You may need to re-create reports and templates

STOP the press!!!!!!!!!
If u are talking about ACT! 6 - I have been running it on W7 since W7 was in beta.
The problem is that the menu won't run under W7.
Go directly to the ACT6 folder and run setup.exe from there

Was that 64 or 32 bit? It's the 64 bit that is the issue.

likewise been running ACT!6 on W7 since W7 beta
Only issue is the install menu.
run the setup file directly - u have to dig for it in the act folder.
external Word use is not possible but all else seems to work fine.
