I am running Windows 7, just installed ACT 6.0 and WinfaxPro. ACT will now recognize WinfaxPro. I uninstalled and reinstalled both programs - WinfaxPro first but ACT just doesn't recognize it. It doesn't show up at all under edit, preferences - that area is all grayed out. What to do?

The connection between the two was done by WinFAX ... but I don't think they would have updated it to work with Windows 7.

To my knowledge, the last update to WinFax was for it to support Windows XP. At that time Symantec first wasn't going to update WinFax for XP but about a year later did. (I'm very familiar with this because I was in ACT! tech support at that time.) Symantec no longer lists WinFax as a product and no other company purchased rights to the program.
