Vbox failed to initiate, Backup and "compress and reindex" both failed

I have been trying to backup and "compress and reindex" my Act 6.0 db.

 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled Act.

 

Both the backup and the "compress and reindex" almost seem to complete, but then I receive the Vbox message.

 

An article on this website, related to Vbox, suggests that Vbox is a file/program outside Act.

 

What to do?

 

N.B.  The Act db which I am using appears to function properly.  And, until today, I've been doing weekly backups and (more recently) daily "compress and reindexing."

What build of ACT! 6.0? If not 6.03, get the update

6.02 and earlier used VBox for the trial

 

You might also look at AutoAdmin to automate backups and maintenance (compress/reindex) of the database.
