Upgrading from ACT2000 to Seven and recovering data

Hello Everybody,

I have been using ACT2000 on my XP machine until it recently died.

Now I have moved to Seven and there seems to be no way to get ACT2000 going.

So I am considering to move up to the latest version of ACT.

But I have a few questions:

- Will the latest ACT import my database from ACT2000?

- Can I purchase an upgrade package or do I need to purchase the full product?
- WIll the upgrade succesfully install on a machine where there is no previous installation of ACT2000? (or, I can isntall ACT2000 but it will not run: will the upgrade still install?

Thank whoever may help!

Yes, ACT! 2011 can convert the ACT! 2000 database
You should be able to purchase an upgrade, but the rules can be different in different countries, so contact a local reseller.
No, it doesn't need ACT! 2000 installed

Re: Upgrading from ACT2000 to Seven and recovering data

Thank you Mike,

but I presently seem to have a more "basic" problem: ACT's web site refuses to sell the upgrade to me because I am purchasing from Italy, then it directs me to a page with international resellers, but Italy is again NOT listed, so it suggests to chose "other", which brings me back into the loop...

Quite stupid...

Just can't seem to buy...

I'll see if someone cares to sell the package.

Thank you!

Yes, as I said, people outside North America should NOT purchase through the act.com web site.
I think, if you ask in the LinkedIN ACT! Fanatics Group, you should find a few Euro resellers who should be able to help.
