Sync to Palm with ActiveSync generates BIG Log File on Drive C

[ Edited ]

Hi everyone,

i couldn't find anything about that with google. So maybe someone can help me with this.

I use ActiveSync 4.5, Companion Link 3 and ACT! 5.0.4 to sync with my Palm One

The synchronisation works very well. But i got a message that i have no more free space on C.

And there was a file named DeskLog.txt with a filesize of 9 GB. After i deleted it and started the sync again it appears again with a filesize of 50 MB. But even if there is no more synchronisation happening the file is growing.

It looks like that activesync writes every info in it (like debug mode). Is this an issue where i just have to uncheck something ?

Thanks for your answers.

Regards

Stephan

Yes, this log file gets created when special logging has been enabled. Here is how to disable it:

1. Open CompanionLink Setup.
2. Press Ctrl-Shift-P on your keyboard. This should bring up a message indicating that special logging is now disabled.
