Still using ACT! 2000 - any issues I should worry about?

Hello,

I'm still using ACT! 2000 and haven't felt any need to upgrade...

I have a small business working from home and have a ton of valuable client contacts in the system.

Some months ago I called support for the first time in a few years and they said that they no longer support ACT!2000 and I would need to consult with someone outside of the company.

I got my issue resolved on my own, but then I started to worry...

Should I upgrade, or am I still Ok with the version I have?  It still suits my needs...

I'm still upgrading by backing up .zip files.  I hope that if I lose my laptop or something I can still download these saved zip files.

Will they still be accessable even if the company no longer supports it?

Is there any cause for worry if I keep my old version?  Any issues with backup and recovery, etc...

Just looking for some peace of mind.   Thanks in advance!

ACT! 2000 has problems with Windows XP and especially Vista. Also don't upgrade your Microsoft Office past Office 2002. Also you may have trouble finding an ACT! Certified Consultant with real ACT! 2000 experience in case you need support.
