Opening Act 10 Database in Act 6

Hello all,

I have a database that was created in Act 6, then converted to Act 10 (2008).  I now need to view this database in Act 6.0, but I can't figure out how to open it.

I did a backup of the database in Act 10, and unzipped it to where my Act 6.0 database files are located.  It doesn't even appear in the directory for me to attempt to open it.

Any suggestions?

Thank you all so much for your help!

There is no way to open an ACT! 10 database in ACT! 6.0.... they use completely different database engines.

The only way to move data backward is via an export and import

Of course - wasn't even thinking about that.  I lose everything from the notes field in doing so - correct?

Yes...

If you need it, you can do an export from ACT! by Sage with itExport and import to ACT! 6.0 with OakMerge
