Moving notes from one contact to another

In ACT 6.0 I could cut or copy notes from one contact and paste them into the notes section for another contact.  I did not use this frequently, but it was very handy when needed.  How do I do this in ACT 20?

Re: Moving notes from one contact to another

It works similar to Act! 6.0 but it is not as reliable.

Click on the note record///9s) to highlight.

From the menu, choose Edit > Copy

Navigate to a new contact on the Notes tab

From the menu, choose Edit > Paste

I just tested on my v20.1 update 7 and it works fine.

I have Act! Pro Version 20.0.159.0, Update 7 English(Canada) on Windows 7.0

I can do everything that you mention, except when I go to Edit -> Paste the Paste menu item is greyed out.

It is good to know that it works on some machines, but it seems you are right that it is not reliable.

The easy way is to open the Note or History for editing and click on the Contact button button in the dialog and then add or move the Note or History to the desired contact.

Perfect, worked like a charm.
