Jumping contacts in a lookup

Hello all.  We are using ACT 6.0 in our small office, my boss keeps having a problem with ACT.   when he does a lookup, then gets to the contact that he wanted, starts typing notes into their record (he does not look at the screen when typing), when he looks back up, he is into a different record entirely.  Has anyone ever heard of this happening?  There is 1 other person in the office that says that it is happening to them also.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  (I keep thinking it is user error, but because it is happening to 2 of them, they argue that)
Thank you!

he must be hitting one of the left, rigth, up or down arrows on his keyboard. Or he has a keboard shortcut set up in ACT! to jump to the next contact record if you hit a certain key combo

There was a problem with this happening in earlier builds of ACT! 6

Make sure ALL the users are running ACT! 6.03... and, if you don't have ACT! on the server, make sure you've turned off Opportunistic Record Locking on the server.
